about

All proceeds raised by the track will be donated to Given to Live.

Given to Live is a live music project based in the UK that makes going to live music possible for the vulnerable and excluded who would otherwise be unable to attend due to physical, mental or emotional issues.

Given To Live provide the funding for transport, tickets and overnight accommodation, if necessary, for individuals and a companion, support worker or carer.

This fantastic project gives those they help access to something that I am lucky enough to experience whenever I so choose. We all know how special music is and how much it means to all involved and that is why I could not be happier to donate all proceeds raised to help more people experience music and I can only hope some of those people, and others, listen to and enjoy this piece of music also.

With regard to the song itself, 'Maroc' was the first song I ever wrote solely in my head, without access to an instrument, on a long coach ride past a mountain range in Morocco on my honeymoon. Something about the place and the journey inspired me, as did the fortune of marrying the woman I love in days previous to this particular experience. The song is a statement that 'no matter what happens from here on out, the good and the bad, we'll deal with it' - and that is why I have chosen this particular song for this particular purpose.

I hope you enjoy it, thank you for your purchase- every donation is greatly appreciated. I hope to see you at a show soon!
